Football video: Rory Delap tribute

The Premier League’s worst kept secret weapon

How do you defend it? Answers on a postcard please. In the meantime, Stoke City can be content in their mid-table habitat smugly compiling over-dramatic compilations like this one!

    Yeah, great. How does he do it? He played an important part in Arsenal’s defeat on Saturday, sweet revenge for Potters fans, which has been along time coming! Fans with long memories will know what I mean.

    WHATS SO FUNNY ABOUT THIS THROW IS HE COULDENT DO IT WHEN HE WHAS YOUNGER AND FITTER PLAYING FOR SOUTHAMTON AND ALSO HOW COME NO BODY STANDS IN FRONT OF HIM HE DOESENT THROW IT HIGH . THE AMMOUNT OF STRAIN THIS MUST BUT ON HIS SHOULDERS ITS UNBELIVABLE THAT HE STILL HAS THE ENERGY TO DO THIS EVEN AT THE END .I THINK UK SPORT SHOULD KNOCK ON HIS DOOR AND ASK HIM TO THROW SOME URINE IN A BOTTLE

    Wouldn’t you defend it like any other corner or cross??? I don’t really understand how this has caused such problems for teams that are drilled week in and week out on defending other assorted arial balls. Also, as was already stated, put a man directly in front of him.

    you need to stand 2metres back or sumthin so unless its crouch infront its not going to be much use

    true muz…still i don’t see how this is any more difficult to defend than a corner. It can’t be coming in as fast and it’s not swinging in or out. idk, maybe i’m just missing something.

    @Joe

    Its better than a normal cross cause there are no offsides in a throw in so u can have your players as close to the goal as possible

    and its better than a corner cause of the angle its coming in makes it easier to flick on towards the goal especially if ur a big guy standing just on the six yard box all u need is a slight touch
