Stoke’s local paper takes a pop at Arsene Wenger

Local journos keep an eye on violent activity for Arsenal boss

It seems the journalists at North Staffordshire newspaper The Sentinel did not take kindly to Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger attempting to besmirch the name of their local Premier League side. The paper incorporated a special injury watch into the player ratings to make sure Stoke City were not trying to kick their opposition of the park as Wenger had suggested.

The Sentinel concludes that none of the Potters players attempted to injure the opposition during last weekend’s bore draw with Wigan, although many of the supporters in the JJB Stadium might in retrospect have preferred a swift kick to the shin than sitting through 90 minutes of coma-inducing football.
