Maybe it was a show of bravado to their Serie A rivals to highlight their strength in depth, but I would not have liked to be the one explaining this to AC Milan’s insurance company if this had gone pear-shaped. “Well, the reason half of our squad is unavailable for the rest of the season with neck injuries is that we… erm… well, the thing is… we, erm, made them scrummage against the All Blacks rugby team.”
