Cristiano Ronaldo has escaped unscathed from a car crash while he was driving to training. The Portuguese international crashed in a tunnel underneath runways at Manchester Airport. The incident happened at about 10.20am this morning.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester police said: “We are investigating a road traffic collision in the airport tunnel on the A538. It appears a Ferrari has collided with a barrier in the tunnel. Inquiries are continuing. The driver is being spoken to at the scene. It does not appear he has been injured.”
Goalkeeper Edwin Van Der Sar was reportedly travelling behind Ronaldo in his own Bentley when the crash happened.
