Posted By Rob Parker on January 7, 2009

Please, sir, can I have some more money?

One’s an orphan who escapes the shires to return to London to make money in a pickpocket gang, the other’s a footballer who pickpockets his club to return to London to have his wicked way with Chinawhite’s female patrons.

Throw in Harry Redknapp’s resemblance to Fagin, in that he’s a dodgy cockney who provides a home for unwanted outcasts (Lauren, Sol Campbell, Diarra, Crouch Defoe about a year ago) and we have a tooth-achingly sweet White Hart Lane musical on our hands.
