Hard Tackle: Is Newcastle striker about to become the Premier League’s first openly gay player?

Xisco loves to be photographed snogging men

The photographic evidence suggests that Newcastle United striker Xisco could soon become the first openly gay player to ply his trade in the Premier League. We will stop at this juncture to halt the high horse brigade in their tracks: have we said there is anything wrong with this? No. It is newsworthy because of the well-publicised lack of openly gay footballers.

Back to the matter in hand. OTP doesn’t know whether the Spaniard is gay or not, but he does seem to enjoy sticking his tongue down other men’s throats at beach parties where the attendees are predominantly male. More photos after the jump…

If he is homosexual, I hope he just comes out and says it instead of hiding it. Then we could all publicly state that there’s nothing wrong with being gay and playing/supporting/being any way involved in football. It’s depressing that one of my great loves seems to lag behind the rest of my life - the spectre of Justin Fashanu’s experience was nearly two decades ago.

If the coming out of one high-profile gay footballer were to be followed by the (surely) many others who are also homosexual or bisexual publicly following suit, there’d be a much less big deal made about the whole thing. This, unfortunately, is wishful thinking on my behalf.

who cares if he is or not , as long as he is good at football…..we need all the talent we have .
stop changing the angle of attack, if`s not one thing it`s another.
stuff owen, he`s a should have been as far as newcastle are botherd.
he`s there for the money only.
that was from the first day he signed, liverpool didnt wont him, we got him becouse nobody else wanted him.
even now he wont get the deal he things he`s worth.
if we go down it will becouse of players like him who only care about the money.
give carrol a chance, carnt do any worse and will play for the shirt which is more then u can say for some.

I think its more a case how they do things a little differently on the continent, just judge the reactions of some of the people in the background of the top pic to realise is probably just a bit mess about.

Think Xisco needs to get some shooting practise in before swanning off around the world to get his kicks excuse the pun.

  5. Dave says:

Xisco isnt gay. This isnt a story. Ive seen the lad out and about chasing birds..not blokes. None of those photos are exactly full on tongue down throats are they? Just a peck on the lips, which to be honest isnt my bag either, but still he isnt a bender.

  6. [...] Gioca nella premier league inglese. Da qualche giorno è al centro di un piccolo scandaluccio, perché sul web hanno iniziato a circolare le foto che lo ritraggono mentre si trastulla con altri ragazzi. Magari stava solo scherzando. Di [...]

  7. Gary says:

He got with a friend of mine, female friend, at Tup Tup Palace in Newcastle not long ago. He definitely goes for the ladies when he’s out on the town.

  10. Lord of the Pies says:

I’m so happy he’s about to come out as openly gay. Although I’m a Sunderland fan, I’m also about to come out too. Perhaps we should come out together. Pity he doesn’t live near Altringham.

  11. Jack Hussey says:

I think he’s well buff. If anyone has his number I’d love to meet him.

“If the coming out of one high-profile gay footballer…”

High-profile footballer? Please. I’ve seen more action from Xisco in these pictures than on the pitch all season.

Xisco coming out would be like the guy on Grey’s Anatomy being outed. He’s a minor character, so no big uproar in the end. Now if someone who actually got week in, week out first team football admitted his sexuality, then it would be news. This is not, no matter how the story turns out in the end.

    Thx,

    Jay!

  15. Hij says:

    Id bum him

  16. adrian says:

In Spain gays are very well accepted by society, so it is very common for cute men like him to attrack men and women, Spanish men normaly do not have such Brits hug ups, so they simple enjoy their sexuality. Britain still has a long way to go.

  17. Sipimbino says:

Then the faggot will have to be kicked out of football because this battyman business is sickening.

  18. EGLL says:

“Then the faggot will have to be kicked out of football because this battyman business is sickening.”

Speak for yourself, camel-breath. Don’t tell the rest of what to think or do. And trust me, you’ve been idolozing “batty men” for years. The joke’s on you. Fool.

  19. Raj says:

shearer only became manager so he cud bum him
