600 travelling fans get their money back

Struggling Bundesliga side Energie Cottbus have offered to refund the tickets of 600 fans who travelled to watch their abject display against Schalke. The club has issued an apology on its website and called the 4-0 defeat a “pitiful performance”.
As you can see above, Energie released a statement headed “Sorry, Energie Fans!”. It read: “By refunding the cost of admission for their supporters, the red and whites would like to apologise for the pitiful performance which they displayed at the Veltins Arena.”
Middlesbrough would have folded by now if they followed Energie’s lead!
