Spanish waiter hands Premier League medal to Man Utd

Now that the splendid 4-4 draw served up by Liverpool and Arsenal has had time to digest, it is clear that the real winner was Sir Alex Ferguson. That is why he is getting handed a Premier League medal by an unnamed Spanish waiter in this lovely Photoshop effort.

Thanks to OTP reader Usama for the spot.

  1. GW says:

What a silly post. I’ll be sure to revisit it if Utd draw 3 games between now and the end of the season.

  2. David says:

@ GW - and I thought only United fans were arrogant in defeat (or draw, take whichever you want)

  3. Rob Parker says:

Will you be back regardless of Liverpool results?

  4. Joe says:

Is that the bar from fawlty towers?

  5. Rob Parker says:

I think it must be a lookalike, Joe. That guy with his back to camera doesn’t look like a Fawlty Towers extra!

  6. GW says:

Since when was it “arrogant” to think a post was silly? It’s a silly photo, how can that be denied?

Yeah I’ll be back regardless of results Rob, nice blog mate.

  7. David says:

Arrogance is not admitting the title is United’s. The photo is a graphical representation of Liverpool handing it to them on a plate after their defensive blunders to drop points against a weak Arsenal team. And silly is the point of this blog. Cheers.

  8. GW says:

Nah, arrogance is prematurely celebrating a title that isn’t yet won. We’ll see, but make the most of it while it lasts :)

  9. David says:

    I’m a Chelsea fan. :) Yes it’s premature, but it’s also inevitable.

  10. GW says:

I reckon inevitable is too strong. Utd have the Manc derby, a game with Arsenal, and trips to desperate ‘Boro and Hull to deal with. 3 draws are not out of the question.

In the last 5 seasons, Utd have dropped an average of 9 points in their last 7 games. They could easily need to drop no more than 5 to regain their title.

Obviously my money’s firmly on Utd, every last penny, and it has been all the way through the season. But it’s not inevitable quite yet.

  11. David says:

That is all very well, but I don’t think Liverpool can win all of their games either.
