You know when the ball rolls back to the opposition keeper and he stands with at his feet? And your forward eventually goes to the bother of closing him down, and the keeper then picks the ball up? Next time you are going through this monotony, here is a little bit of hope to hold onto.

Vitoria Guimaraes keeper Nilson handed Leixoes an easy goal in this evening’s match in the Portuguese Superliga when he tried to get clever in his six yard box. As the great philosopher Ruud Gullit once said: “Goalkeepers are goalkeepers because they can’t play football.” Amen, Ruud. Amen.
