Paul Scholes relieved any late nerves in Manchester United’s match with Portsmouth by putting this goal on a plate for Michael Carrick. Defence-splitting pass doesn’t really cover it: he takes out most of Portsmouth’s midfield and defence with one ball. Nice finish from Carrick too.
