Player punched in the face by mascot in Norwegian league

Chinned by a Scandinavian bumble bee

Odd Grenland sounds like the kind of club where there would be peculiar goings on, and that was certainly true this week. As the Norwegian outfit celebrated a 2-0 victory over Fredrikstad their mascot, Brodd the bee, got a little over-exuberant and punched opposition player Garðar Jóhannson on the chin as he ran past him.

Jóhannson’s reflex reaction is to look at the referee to make sure he has seen it! He stops short of demanding a red card though.
