Cristiano Ronaldo to Read Madrid is ON, folks

Manchester United accept potentially world record-breaking £80 million bid

I’m not watching Sky Sports News at the moment, but I imagine their news ticker might have exploded by now. Manchester United have confirmed they have accepted an £80 million bid from Real Madrid to sign Cristiano Ronaldo. A statement on the club’s official website confirms this.

The statement reads: “At Cristiano’s request - who has again expressed his desire to leave - and after discussion with the player’s representatives, United have agreed to give Real Madrid permission to talk to the player. Matters are expected to be concluded by 30 June.”

The Spanish lessons and CR9 trademark should come in useful very soon then.

Just because he has signed a contract at another club doesn’t mean he’s leaving. Find some proper news.

Also, 9 doesn’t suit him. At all.

    Haha!!
    I knew this would happen!!
He continually pledged that he will stay at United and now one defeat to Barcelona changed all that!!!!
He whimpers more than a 1yr old baby lol!!!!
I’m a Liverpool fan for the account but i agree Ronaldo is a good player just that he cheats and dives a lot and whimpering never ends!!!

I’ll believe it when I see him in the white shirt. I admit that it might actually happen this time but this saga has popped up way too many times for everyone to get that excited. United will be in real trouble without him. Although, they’ll get 80mil, there’s nobody in the world who can run at defenders and open up teams like Ronaldo. I can’t stand the sight of him but there’s no denying his pace and skill.

Speaking of transfers…I keep hearing about Pirlo to Chelsea? I guess one 30 y/o from AC Milan who couldn’t acclimate to English football wasn’t enough.

  5. Mohamed S. says:

Good, I hope Sir Alex makes him cry at least once before he leaves.

  6. Joe says:

I don’t think he can make Raul give up the #7 shirt. Isn’t there some sort of licensing agreement preventing that…I’m recalling when Beckham moved there and had to take #23. Perhaps he can be #67 to represent United’s profit margin on him.

man utd might have something in the pipeline by accepting real’s offer for ronaldo? anyway, it’ll be good for the club and the player. i primarily watch the premier league, and for the record, a man utd fan, im tired of watching him dive and moan. time to move on, imho.

  8. Usama Waheed says:

Joe, they’ve got another number 7 coming in David Villa. I think he might go back to his original 21 though, but that’s lame for a centreforward.
Or he could just oust Raul from Madrid like he did from Spain. ;)

I feel like a jilted ex-lover. Every relevant news outlet has been describing this move as ‘imminent’ for the past few months so it shouldnt really be much of a shock.

I just hope we get paired up with them in the CL group stages and literally kick his ass.

USAMA HIS ORIGINAL NO. IS 28

Now many of the Madrid fanatics are saying that they can’t be beaten!!!
    Thats Garbage talks.
I hate Ronaldo but he is good but that does not mean that Madrid are good.
Manure won won because they have a strong defense, good mager AND Ronaldo.
Its not like Ronaldo does everything on his own.
nOW rEAL mADRID HAVE ALSO GOT David Villa(confirmed now- I have sources) but that does make them unbeatable, heck that does not even make them a very good team too.
If Liverpool get paired with them in the Champions League, we will blast them away!!!!
