A neat little summary of the mess Newcastle United have got themselves into popped up over the weekend when it emerged that they pay Joey Barton £650,000 a year for his image rights. That is on top of £2.75 million salary.
Off The Post would suggest that Barton’s image rights currently possess all the marketing potential of Adolf Hitler’s. In fact, Barton ought to be paying Newcastle for allowing him to drag their image down even further!
