Video: Michael Jackson witnesses a drab 0-0 draw between Fulham and Wigan

Wacko’s other team
The late Michael Jackson has been called many things over the years, but you could not call him a gloryhunter. Not when it comes to football at least. Following on from the footage of Jackson becoming honorary director of Exeter City, here is his only other dalliance with English football that springs to mind.
Jackson visited Craven Cottage in April 1999. Back in those days the clash between Fulham and Wigan was a Second Division match (and not a good one - it ended 0-0). This news footage shows an umbrella-covered Jacko parading around the pitch and, erm, being introduced to members of a youth team…

Where did you get this information?? I was at this game and it was not a ‘ drab 0-0 ‘ as you make out but a 2-0 win to Fulham with both goals coming in the second half from Kit Symons and Phillip Albert, both headers from corners. Don’t go putting stuff on websites if you can’t get your facts right…
Got so say - I can’t remember a good match between our teams, before or after we met in the Premiership! For some reason we seem to have bad effect on one another.
Good luck for next season.
Michael Jackson will be the greatest pop singer in the whole world. Everyone will miss him.
