Which goalkeeper escapes stress by playing Animal Crossing on the Nintento DS?

USA women’s keeper Hope Solo, that’s who

She might sound like a character from the latest sequel to Star Wars, but Hope Solo is actually a goalkeeper for the very successful USA women’s team. So successful is the women’s team, in fact, that Nintendo have recognised Solo’s potential to sell video games to seven-year-old girls.

When she is not playing soccer, meeting people and making friends, she loves nothing better than locking herself in a dark room with an anti-social handheld console. She also writes letters to her virtual friends to escape “the pressures and the stress of being a goalkeeper”.

We seem to recall Mark Bosnich came up with a different solution to that problem.
