Rovers management team have heart-to-heart
Blackburn assistant manager Neil McDonald’s good taste deserted him after his side’s shock Carling Cup victory over Chelsea. McDonald is in charge of first-team affairs while boss Sam Allardyce recovers from heart surgery. But the stand-in is worried he is developing cardiac problems of his own.
He said: “I’ll hurry him back as I’ll probably end up having a heart attack with many more games like that.”
Allardyce is due back in work tomorrow.
