Don’t call me scarf ace
If you were wondering what Manchester City executive chairman Garry Cook’s New Year’s Resolution will be, chances are it will involve capitalising on the fashion trend started by their scarf-loving manager. Yes, expect Citeh’s first purchase of the January transfer window to be a bulk purchase of neckwear to bolster their website’s some what limited selection.
Some observers are suggesting Mancini has dug the scarf out of the wardrobe from his Lazio days. Meanwhile, some City fans are more concerned that the scarf appears to be a cheap acrylic freebie they received on derby day which could be irritating their gaffer’s neck!
It is certainly no dig at the English weather since Mancini was not averse to whipping out the scarf in his time managing Inter Milan.

It is not the scarf given out at the derby. That scarf had black bands separating the blue from the white. The one that Mancini is wearing was the one given out at the last game of last season.
