Court lifts ban on allegations of JT playing away
An injunction banning reports that England and Chelsea captain John Terry had an affair with the ex-girlfriend of England team-mate Wayne Bridge has been lifted. Terry’s lawyers managed to get the reports banned after a court hearing last Friday after Terry heard that a Sunday newspaper planned to publish details of an alleged affair with lingerie model Vanessa Perroncel.
But that ban has now been lifted by Mr Justice Tugendhat, who has ruled that details and photographs relating to the story can be published.
Bridge, who split up with Perroncel last December, is said to be “in bits” after hearing of the allegations.
Wikipedia is treating the matter with all the sensitivity it requires.
