Which ex-Premier League player doesn’t appreciate the subtitles?

OTP had the pleasure of bumping into a former Premier League player over the weekend who was in very good spirits and having a bit of a joke. So which recently retired player had the following gripe with Dutch television?
“I played in Holland for four years, I learnt the language and always did television interviews in Dutch. But whenever it appeared on TV, the motherf***ers always put subtitles under me! I think they just wanted to make a point because I was a foreigner.”
