Wayne Rooney got up close and personal with the World Cup trophy yesterday. But even the England star wasn’t allowed to get his grubby mitts on the trophy without doing the hard work first.
He said: “You try not to think too much about the World Cup, but it’s always there in your mind. It’s a bit weird, because it’s the most iconic trophy of all time. Hopefully we’ll have this back here by the end of July.”
In which case he would be allowed to touch it, slobber over it, and basically do what he likes with it.
He should have just grabbed it and ran off shouting “this is for the hand of god bitches, ps get ya mits of the Falklands” Then England would have won the world cup albeit by cheating slightly but that’s what Maradaona did.
Oh yes, this one-man-wonder will definately be trotting off with the cup this summer!
