Video: John Terry’s attempted diving defensive header

Sheer class
If England fans had been screaming out for more passion from the players following the dire 0-0 draw with Algeria, then the improvement in this department was neatly summed up by this ridiculous attempt at a clearance from John Terry.
The ex-skipper, eager for personal redemption after blotting his copybook this week, attempted to clear a shot on goal with a diving header.
Now that’s commitment.

commitment like that is why jt is one of the best defenders in the world. the tackle just before that was simply world class & he won’t let up. his sheer will to win & “you will not get past me” is what makes him so great. he was magnificent all match.
NO WAY … NO OTHER DEFENDER CANT DO THIS, CHALLENGE …. WORLD CLASS DISPLAY …. FIRING DISPLAY FROM TERRY ……. TERRY, THE ONLY LEADER & TRUE LEADER ….. LOVE U MANNNNN !!!!!!!
I love this. True commitment, makes up for his ropey display in the Algeria game.
Meh
Tosser
He missed the ball
@ Andy cane: You missed the point. Just attempting to clear the ball that way shows who should be the England captain. I didn’t see that level of commitment from any one else in a red shirt.
Hey at least he’s showing commitment to something…shame it’s not his wife

The very mouth that kissed the wife, is the same that tongued his mate’s bird, is the same mouth that submarined the game plans of the England manager, is the same mouth that demoralised the England team, is the same mouth that complained about an ex-Chelsea manager to the owner, is the same mouth that continues to define the biggest EGO of British football.
