ESPN advertising system drops the ball

An interesting new media juxtaposition

If proof were needed that, for all the good computers do in our lives, you should always have a fully functioning human nearby to cast an eye over things… You can almost imagine ESPN Soccernet’s keyword advertising system getting all overexcited. “Ooh, ooh, they typed Manchester Unted. Ooh, ooh, they typed shirt!”

Unfortunately the story in question was explaining how United could be on the lookout for a new shirt sponsor given that the bankers at AIG are in extreme financial difficulty. Hardly a solid basis on which to flog your stock of AIG-emblazoned replica kits, I am sure you will agree!
