Leeds starlet does his best to scupper Premier League move
Over the last four transfer-less months a name that has been omnipresent in the gossip columns has been that of Leeds United youngster Fabian Delph. It seemed every mid-table Premier League manager and his dog were interested in signing the England Under 21 winger.
So it was probably not too bright for Fabian to get himself arrested for drink driving just days before the transfer window swings open for the January sales. Fulham, Sunderland and Newcastle are among the teams reportedly prepared to part with £5 million to secure Delph’s services. It has now emerged that he was arrested and charged with drink driving just before Christmas and has a court appearance to make next month.
