Wenger resorts to underhand tactics to kick-start Gunners’ season

Arsene Wenger has long been lauded as a great innovator within the English game (most loudly by himself, but he has been lauded nonetheless), but his plan to use a 4-5-2 formation against West Ham at the weekend could be a progression too far.

According to the Daily Telegraph’s probable line-ups, Arsenal are probably going to sneak a 12th man onto the pitch against the Hammers. The devious scheme involves placing the extra player in a five-man midfield of Emmanuel Eboue, Denilson, Abou Diaby, Alexandre Song and Samir Nasri.

It might be argued that there has been plenty of holes in which the illegal player could hide in Arsenal’s midfield this season.
