Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has apparently earned the nickname Ronopoly after buying four homes and a hotel. In accordance with the rules of the popular board game, C-Ron built up his property portfolio with four homes and is now planning to build an £8 million hotel on his native Madeira.
Sun journalist United insider told The Sun: “If he carries on like this he’ll have more properties than a Monopoly board. One of the lads joked he should be called Ronopoly, but these are good investments. It’s all very well buying cars and gadgets but a property portfolio could yield huge returns in the future.”
The Portuguese’s portfolio includes a £4 million Cheshire mansion, a villa and a flat near Lisbon, and a house for his mum in Madeira. He is also planning to build a £6 million house in Portugal.
