Everton triumph in Merseyside derby replay

Everton knocked Liverpool out of the FA Cup with a goal two minutes from the end of extra time from young striker Dan Gosling. The youngster’s clipped shot deflected of Alvaro Arbeloa and past Pepe Reina to put the Toffees through to the fifth round.

Gosling said: “It was a big occasion. I was a bit nervous but I had a good few early touches. The manager’s not scared to put a young lad in.” Yeah, the manager had nobody else to put in since all his other strikers are either injured or told him to “f*** off” yesterday. But it all worked out in the end!
