Magpies speed up plan to break Championship attendance records

Having failed in their attempts to sign Nigel ‘Mr Relegation’ Quashie during the transfer window, Newcastle have now turned their attention to appointing a manager with a similar track record.

Reports today suggest the Magpies would like to appoint Bryan Robson on a temporary basis while Joe Kinnear undergoes a heart bypass operation. That is despite the fact that he has vast managerial experience of Premier League relegation.

The current Manchester United ambassador has been relegated from the top-flight with Middlesbrough, West Brom and Bradford City.
