Midfielder attacks Victor Anichebe, now his cat

Kevin Nolan has revealed that his cat has felt the brunt of his frustration at being sent-off for a horror tackle on Everton’s Victor Anichebe. The Newcastle midfielder said he had been tormented by picking up a suspension so soon after joining a new club.

He said: “I’ve been walking round kicking the cat and headbutting walls. It has been frustrating really as I am at a new club.”

“If you look at it in a positive way, it’s given me time to get to know the lads, the staff and Newcastle as a city a bit more. I have got my house sorted so I will be settled there in a few weeks. But I didn’t want to be banned and sitting in the stands.”

Well, as he is now looking at things in a positive way, you could argue that it is better than walking round kicking walls and headbutting the cat.

No word yet on whether the cat will miss the rest of the season with his Nolan-inflicted injury like Anichebe.

Dirty, dirty player. If Anichebe is missing the rest of the season for this deliberate foul, then Nolan should be banned for the rest of the season to compensate for it.
