There are plenty of Premier League matches on this weekend and we all know what that means – football betting time! There aren’t many games left and there isn’t any competitive football this summer, so unless you want to wait until August you better get your money on some fixtures this weekend!

As you probably know by now, I prefer to look at the more unusual football bets, so let’s take a look at five examples of where you could place your money this weekend.

A sending off in the West Ham v Chelsea game.
I really fancy this one. It’s a London derby and there are plenty of connections between the two clubs. Who do I fancy to receive the red card? Frank Lampard, Carlton Cole or Lucas Neill probably! Place £5 on this to win £15.00.

Five or more goals in the Hull v Liverpool game. We are getting used to Liverpool being involved in goal fests, so why can’t it happen again this weekend? Hull are fighting for their lives, but an early goal for Liverpool and the floodgates could open. Place £5 on this to win £28.00.

Arsenal to finish in the top three this season.
This is probably unlikely, but Arsenal are looking very strong at the moment and still have to play Chelsea this season. For what it’s worth, I’m tempted to stick a tenner on them winning the league next year as well. Place £5 on this to win £40.

Newcastle to be losing at half-time against Portsmouth, but win the game.
I love these bets, especially on an evening game. This one at St James’ Park on Monday night could be a thriller in my opinion. I fancy Newcastle to look dead and buried (in terms of their Premier League status) at half-time, but to come back and win the game. Shearer the saviour! Place £5 on this to win £165.00.

Roy Keane to lose his first game in charge of Ipswich 3-0. There is a slight chance that this is down to the fact that I don’t like Roy Keane and I don’t like Ipswich. And if I want them to lose anyway, why not make some money out of it? The Keane media love-in this week has infuriated me (OTP excepted, of course!), so come on Cardiff! Place £5 on this to win £77.50.

There we have it then. Another weekend of football betting sorted. Feel free to be as inventive as you like with your choices and let me know how you get on. There is so much at stake, I have the feeling it could be a cracker of a weekend!
