RIP Sir Bobby Robson

A legend passes

Sir Bobby Robson has died aged 76 following a long battle with cancer. The ex-England manager passed away this morning at his home in County Durham just a few days after the appearance above at the Sir Bobby Robson Trophy charity match which raised money for his cancer charity (see video above).

Robson was one of football’s best-loved characters. Not only was he an incredibly likeable chap but he was a football man through-and-through. Anyone who so much as witnessed one of his interviews (never mind worked with him or was coached by him) cannot help but have been touched by his endless enthusiasm for the game.

OTP’s condolences go to Sir Bobby’s family.
