Gillingham boss Mark Stimson offers referees some fashion advice
Say no to “pinky” shirts
Referees have only themselves to blame for the abuse they receive if they insist on wearing pink shirts, according to Gillingham manager Mark Stimon. The Gills boss reckons match officials’ flamboyant wardrobes are undermining the Respect campaign.
He said: “It’s a crazy decision to put a referee in a pinky shirt. They get enough abuse as it is – but as soon as they walk on the pitch with that pink shirt people laugh at them.”
OTP commented during the Manchester United-Wolfsburg match on Wednesday that the white kit being worn by the officials was a bit over the top.
