Don’t blame it on the sunshine. Don’t blame it on the moonlight. Don’t blame it on the good times. Blame it on Dave Kitson

Stoke striker can almost smell his move away from Britannia

Dave Kitson was almost certain to leave Stoke City this summer. But to make extra sure that he gets his transfer, the misfiring striker has launched a public attack on manager Tony Pulis.

After the Potters boss hit out at Kitson’s reaction to being substituted in the 7-0 drubbing at Chelsea, the forward has been feeling increasingly like a scapegoat.

He said his manager’s comments were an attempt to distract from problems at the club.

He added: “And now it’s like I’m responsible for everything. ‘Cloudy in Stoke? That’s Kitson’s fault.’ ‘The traffic’s terrible on the way to training? Blame Kitson for that too’.”

Pfff! Anyone with an ounce of sense knows the traffic problems are caused by James Beattie’s school run.
