As we head towards the World Cup quarter-finals, it has emerged that the Adidas F50 Adizero is currently topping the scoring charts. The players might be battling it out for the Golden Boot, but meanwhile the boot manufacturers are desperate to prove their footwear has the golden touch.

Adidas are currently leading the way. The F50 Adizero, worn by the likes of David Villa, Jermain Defoe and Gonzalo Higuain, is leading the way having scored 33 World Cup goals so far. Nike hold second and third place. The Mercurial Vapor – favoured by Luis Fabiano and Cristiano Ronaldo – has mustered 14 goals, while the Total 90’s of Wesley Sneijder and co have scored 13.
