Rob Green eliminated from our enquiries

England missed the chance to practice with the controversial Adidas Jabulani World Cup match ball because a package delivered to Wembley was mysteriously lost.

Adidas sent 25 balls to Wembley, which were signed for but then disappeared. England’s squad lost a possibly vital three months of become accustomed with the ball’s quirks.

A spokesman for adidas, said: “The Football Associations of all 32 countries competing in the World Cup were sent 25 balls in February.

“I can confirm that a consignment of 25 balls were delivered to England at Wembley Stadium in February.”

The FA is unsure of what happened to the balls after they were signed for.

Any theories?

Did it at any point occur to them that there was another way to get their hands on these balls.

    Like buy them from shop?

They are down at the Racecourse Ground, Wrexham.
We’re holding our own mini world cup and wanted some of the proper balls.
However i’d like to point out England are crap anyway and would of lost with or without the balls.
    Yours sincerely, Geoff Moss.
