Stjarnan are probably working on their sychronised swimming goal celebration at the minute, but Hapoel Tel Aviv’s Itay Shechter produced a blindingly obvious celebration that we have never been before. If you want to copy it, being Jewish or having access to some very small hats will help.
Shechter put his side 1-3 up in his side’s Champions League qualifier against Red Bull Salzburg. As if to prove he had truly done the Austrian side up like kippas, he then reached for his skullcap (which thankfully came from his socks, not his shorts).
An emotional Shechter launched into a bit of prayer time, which was rudely interrupted by his team-mates.
