In English language terms, pigeon meets stilted

After Rooney has allegedly acted more Wazza than England’s Arise Sir Wayne, it has today emerged that Signor Capello intends to sit down with the striker and discuss whether his mind is still on the game in Basel.

Sorry, so to get this straight, there will be a conversation about “mental wellbeing” between a manager who despite 33 months in the job has only broken English and a player whose grasp on his native tongue can at best be described as questionable.

Una mosca…as a fly is feminine it takes the feminine article (una) as well.

It’s hard to imagine an Italian moralising too much so I presume it’ll be about concentration on football!
