Non-league Histon take no away fans to Wrexham. Zero. Zilch.

You’re not singing… well, at all as it happens

Blue Square Premier outfit Histon have entered the record books for unwanted reasons by becoming the first club ever in the top five tiers of English football to take no supporters to an away match. The visitors seats (the blue block in the photo above) for their weekend trip to Wrexham were totally deserted.

And it is difficult to criticise their supporters who dodged the 330-mile, six-and-a-half hour round trip, and a 4-0 defeat which left them second-from-bottom in the table.

The Cambridgeshire side have been threatening to break the record for some time. They have an infamously poor away following and reportedly took just seven supporters to Grimsby earlier this season.

The 2,376 Wrexham supporters who made up the entire attendance at the Racecourse Ground did have some fun with chants of ‘is that all you take away?’ and ‘it’s all gone quiet over there’.

Shame MUST can’t get the same at OT as a protest to all that’s wrong at MUFC.

  • Rob

At least there’s one team with a worse following than Sheff Utd

Yes because 19,000 attendance at home for a team that is supposed to be ‘massive’ with new owners is gunna isn’t it.
