Winger suffers from dangly foot

Manchester United’s Antonio Valencia is out for the season after a horror ankle break in last night’s Champions League draw with Rangers.

The Ecuadorian’s left ankle was visibly hanging out of position after one of those innocuous collisions that causes so many serious leg breaks.

Distressed Rangers players immediately called for medical attention for Valencia as he sat in agony.

Sir Alex Ferguson said: “I’m afraid it looks really bad. He will be operated on and it’s a bad blow.

“It is a similar injury to the one Alan Smith got when he was with us so we are looking at Valencia being out for the rest of the season.

“We knew it was bad when the Rangers players started waving over to the bench.”

OTP thought players were erased from SAF’s memory when they left Old Trafford. Alan Smith must have been very memorable indeed.
