Throw-in (to the head)
When Belarus’s Alexander Yurevich went to retrieve the ball for a throw-in during his side’s Euro 2012 qualifier against France, he was keeping a very close eye on Mathieu Valbuena’s semi-aggressive spike into the ground. Unfortunately, he didn’t have eyes in the back of his head to spot the incoming missile.
Good old, multi-ball system.
Meanwhile, France continued their World Cup form as they lost the match 1-0 courtesy of a late Sergei Kislyak striker. Laurent Blanc’s French Revolution hasn’t quite taken effect as hoped then.
