David Ngog suffers identity crisis, thinks he’s Martin Kelly
While many Liverpool fans were wondering why there was not Jamie Carragher on the pitch at the start of the second half of their Europa League tie against Napoli last night, they could equally have been forgiven for wondering why there were two Martin Kellys.
Striker David Ngog emerged after the interval wearing a ‘Kelly 34’ shirt rather than his own ‘Ngog 24’. A couple of minutes into the second period, a sheepish-looking Liverpool kitman appeared on the touchline with a spare shirt in hand. Once the match officials spotted the cock-up they couldn’t wait to send him over to change his shirt.
