C-Ron snubbed by team-mate

Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso is treading the tightrope of upsetting his club’s touchy supporters after giving Barcelona’s Xavi his backing for the Ballon d’Or.

The ex-Liverpool man overlooked Real Madrid candidates Iker Casillas, Mesut Ozil, Cristiano Ronaldo and, well, himself to suggest that the one-man Barca passing machine is most deserving of the accolade.

Alonso told DT magazine: “I like to look for players who have been spectacular on the pitch in recent years, and Xavi represents this.”

It is difficult to dispute this, but if OTP played for Real Madrid we would keep our mouth shut. Think of Cristiano’s ego, at least.

actually you are wrong…basically they share the same opinion thus they not going to tout him.

xavi played an integral part in spain recent success so if there is one spanish player who truly deserved this title than it have to be him 😉
