Venky’s plan to end the boos in spectacular fashion

Blackburn have launched a bid to sign AC Milan star Ronaldinho. And they have enquired about taking David Beckham on loan from LA Galaxy.

The deal for Ronaldinho would see the player pocket £20 million over the course of a three-year contract. Rovers face competition from a host of Brazilian clubs in the battle to secure his services.

Venky’s chair Anuradha Desai said: “He is keen to play in the EPL [English Premier League] and I think that goes in our favour.”

Rovers have also launched a bit to bring ex-England skipper Beckham to Ewood Park. Desai said the offer is “open whenever he is ready to come”.

Given that Sam Allardyce apparently left his post after a fall out over plans to make Geovanni and Kris Boyd a pair of marquee signings in January this is a real turn up for the books.

Perhaps it was a case of mistaken washed up Brazilians.

Blackburn don’t need a £7 bid for Ronaldinho. Their money would be better off spent on £3million Van Bommel and £4million Wayne Bridge
