Prepare to get dizzy

Forget the managerial merry-go-round, the latest job exchange to hit the Premier League is the striker merry-go-round. Sunderland, Aston Villa and Stoke City seem to have agreed on some sort of pass-the-goalscorer party game, if all the deals that are on the verge of being completed go through.

Sunderland have already sold Darren Bent to Aston Villa. They’ve decided to replace him with Stoke City striker Ricardo Fuller and have already had a bid accepted by the Potters. That leaves Tony Pulis short of a striker, so he’s on the verge of taking John Carew from Aston Villa, who has been pushed further down the pecking order by the arrival of Darren Bent from Sunderland…
