Madron FC now bottom of the table after defeat in crunch match

Worst team in Britain take up their rightful place

If you have been following the exploits of Cornish village side Madron FC with OTP and the Podcast since they recorded a 55-0 defeat you will be aware of a quirk of fate surrounding this misfiring team.

Despite having lost all their games so far this season and having an enormous goal difference deficit of more than -200, Madron were not bottom of the table because rivals Storm had been deducted three points for failing to fulfil a fixture.

This wrong was righted at the weekend as Storm recorded their first win of the season with a 6-1 victory over the Madron boys.

The result was Madron’s second best league result of the season and means they have now found the net in three consecutive games in all competitions.

Get the full lowdown on the match from midfield dynamo John Spencer in today’s OTP Podcast.
