Sunderland manager Steve Bruce plots PA system DJ revenge

Brucie to take to the decks

Back in November, Steve Bruce accused Newcastle of a lack of etiquette following his side’s 5-1 derby defeat after The Monkees’ Daydream Believer was played over the PA system.

Bruce believed the song selection was ill-advised as the reworked naughty version of the song featured in the video above had been used to taunt him all afternoon.

But the Black Cats boss is set to show his own lack of etiquette with revenge on the steel wheels.

Bruce has chosen a song for the stadium DJ to play at the end of Sunday’s Tyne-Wear derby.

He said: “We have got something in store, but just wait until the end. It is my choice, but the club are a bit scared of it. I am not telling you what it is. But I would love to get my own back!”

You would assume DJ Steve Bruce – we don’t think he’s anything to do with this chap – will only be playing the mystery track if his side win the match.

So what do you think Brucie has in store for the Geordies?

he will be stooping to their level if he does – most of the country knows the mags lack class but this will make him the same.

mags lack class? And what do you base that on?

Mags lack class, This from a club who have insulted Glen Roeder over a brain tumour, Joe Kinnear over a heart attack and classy fans were signing “hes nearly dead” about the wonderful Sir Bobby Robson who was battling cancer.

Yes your spot on were really lacking class for playing a silly song at a derby match…
