Bottles take La Liga by storm
Not so long ago we would have suggested that Barcelona midfielder Xavi was invincible. But in the space of a week he has been owned by Sergio Busquets and now a plastic bottle.
The one-man pass machine struggled to get to grips with the sports drink, grappling with his hands and then his teeth in an unsuccessful bid to loosen the cap on the bottle.
But Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho fought back against the bottles.
He managed to avoid being hit when substituted Villarreal midfield Cani threw a water bottle at him as his celebrated Real’s fourth goal in a 4-2 win.
Mourinho claimed he was merely celebrating the goal with his son, who – rather inconveniently – was sat behind the Villarreal dugout.
OTP isn’t sure just how obese Mourinho’s son us, but looking at the footage below he appears to be almost exactly as wide as the opposition dugout at the Bernabeu.
Cani was red-carded for his bottle-throwing antics, even though he managed to miss his intended target.
