Top three goalscoring Premier League debuts (featuring Liverpool’s Luis Suarez, West Ham’s Robbie Keane and Bolton’s Daniel Sturridge)

Transfer deadline day provides its first heroes

1. Luis Suarez
It was a case of ‘Fernando who?’ at Anfield as Luis Suarez followed in the footsteps of fellow Eredivisie alumni Afonso Alves and Georgios Samaras by making an immediate impact in the Premier League. The sub bagged the second goal in a 2-0 win over Stoke.

2. Robbie Keane
We had questioned the wisdom of Keane’s signing and his appetite for a relegation battle, but fair play to him: if he keeps scoring goals there won’t be too many complaints.

3. Daniel Sturridge
The Chelsea loanee grabbed a very late winner for Bolton to secure a 1-0 victory over Wolves. We’re not sure whether the stadium announcer credited the goal to Danny Welbeck though!

well i think Surez debut is what is more impressive because he has not played for 2 month… he came from another league and finally just as the coach of liverpool said… he has not even trained with the team before and there he goes … he didn’t show any match rusty and he rounded the keeper up and scored ….:)
