Manchester United are expecting an invoice from the FA to arrive in the post following damage to a Wembley dressing room wall. The hole in the wall is believed to have been caused by a kick and was discovered after United’s defeat to Manchester City in last Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final.
The hole was patched up before the second semi-final between Bolton and Stoke, but was still visible when the Potters’ players used the ‘away’ dressing room on Sunday.
Police have not been involved over the incident, but United will receive a bill for around £50 to cover the cost of the repairs.
It is not clear who is responsible for the damage, which was to the manager’s area of the dressing room. The Sun is reporting that United fitness coach Tony Strudwick was spotted in the vicinity. Fergie himself was far from pleased at full time.
Rio Ferdinand stormed down the tunnel after his spat with Mario Balotelli, while Paul Scholes had means, motive and plenty of opportunity.
