Video: Wheelchair pitch invader celebrates Northampton equaliser

Wheel are staying up

This footage comes from Friday night’s match between Northampton and Rotherham. The Cobblers, currently lurking one place above the League Two relegation zone, had been 0-2 down before fighting back.

Liam Davis bagged an injury time equaliser and it was all too much for a disabled Northampton fan.

Cobblers supporter Derry Felton drove onto the pitch in his motorised wheelchair in celebration. It is safe to say he was subjected to fewer rugby tackles than your average able-bodied pitch invader and was allowed to wheel to the jubilant suppoters behind the goal before being escorted away!

Nice job man!….You have proved to the nation that disability is never a hindrance for a dream to come true…Being in a wheelchair doesn’t mean that you can’t do good for the country..Thank you so much for you have raise our reputation…Keep it up!
