Police called to West Ham end-of-season party
West Ham’s end-of-season party reportedly descended into a brawl after a fight broke out between players and fans.
Police had to be called to the bash at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
The scrap allegedly broke out after Hammers striker Demba Ba refused to sign autographs for fan who had paid £275 to attend the event saying he was “too tired”.
Several players are said to have become embroiled in the incident with eye-witnesses reporting seeing several punches being thrown.
Celebrity West Ham fan and MC for the evening, Ben Shephard, appealed for calm and co-owner David Sullivan attempted to intervene to see what had happened. But their efforts were in vain and police had to attend.
No arrests have been made at the time of writing.
No detective work is required to know that a gala event being held the day after relegation was asking for trouble.
